I came across this escalator etiquette sign on a recent trip to Westfield shopping mall in Shepard’s Bush. The warning triangle with a silhouette of Croc’s clog within it made me chuckle for two reasons.
Firstly, this was the escalator to The Village, the more la di da shopping area within the mall- so I can understand why a formal warning against plastic shoes is issued on arrival.Secondly, there is actually a Crocs shop within the mall…
Seems to me like someone didn’t really think too much about the signage and the damage it could do to their tenants’ reputation. I wonder if they get a discount on their rent?
